About Katie Williams
Multi-disciplinary expertise
With over twenty years’ prior experience in legal practice and having worked as a partner in a global law firm in the UK and Australia, Katie has an in-depth understanding of the regulatory and compliance factors that influence the corporate sector’s approach to sustainability.
Katie works to develop effective governance and risk management of environmental and social issues. She encourages ambitious action but appreciates the necessary trade-offs, and she strives for the integration of sustainability targets into the organisation’s business strategy.
Katie holds the Sustainability and Climate Risk Certificate with the Global Association of Risk Professionals. Her approach to sustainability risk management is informed by decades spent as a lawyer, reinforced by technical expertise in enterprise risk management.
Disclosures and reporting are an important element of Katie's work. She understands the risks of greenwashing and the diligence required to ensure that disclosures provide clear and comprehensive information to stakeholders. Katie holds the IFRS FSA Fundamentals in Sustainability Accounting Credential which verifies her expertise in climate and sustainability reporting.
Katie is based in Boorloo (Perth), and works with companies operating across Australia.
